I think there’s something really sexy about being anonymous…
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us” – Marianne Williamson
I think there’s something sexy about quietly grinding in the background and letting your work speak for itself.
It’s a welcome change from this over pressurised – fake – inauthentic social media world we’re living in where everyone knows when we sneeze. They know everything about us from the colour of our bathwater to the seconds we spend in the toilet.
MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH BEING ANONYMOUS
Growing up, I wanted to be an artist. But I wanted to be the anonymous type like the band the Gorillaz. They were anonymous yet successful and deeply respected. I think there’s something so noble about making a name for yourself yet no one knows what you look like.
I find anonymity sexy because the truth is, I want to live in my shadow. It’s comforting and it’s safe
But comforting and safe isn’t what I born to do.
I wasn’t born to live in my shadow. I wasn’t born with a mask. I wasn’t born to be behind the scenes.
I was born to be in the light.
I was born to shine.
But I was born to teach people, to show them how to harness their inner power.
But I can’t do that behind the scenes…
“Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do”
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been pregnant. Pregnant with dreams and ambitions. But something has always held me back. I’ve come to realise it’s my love affair with anonymity.

And so, we are getting a DIVORCE
A divorce from comfortable and safe.
There comes a time, when you must waive your anonymity to fulfil your purpose.
There comes a time in your life, business or career where you must step out of your shadow in order to reach your full potential.
You need to put pen to paper and write that book you’ve been dreaming of writing.
You need to step up to the stage and share your authentic story.
You need to promote your business online if need be.
You need to go to that radio station and be willing to be interviewed.
You need to start your own Podcast or YouTube channel if that what’s you want to do.
All that I ask is for you to be authentic and speak your truth when you to step out of your shadow.
Are you willing to do something about your goals? Or will you spend the rest of your life talking about what you wished you were doing instead of SIMPLY doing it?
Are you willing to waive your anonymity to pursue your purpose?
Love – The Lioness
